Since I am starting this blog at the beginning of the year, I figured I'd start out with my resolutions for 2014. We will see at the end of the year how many I have accomplished.
Resolutions 2014
I absolutely love to read, but I never end up making time to sit down and crack open a book. This year, my plan is to read at least two books a month, so that by the end of the year I will have read at least 24 books. Throughout the year I will do some blog posts reviewing the books that I will be reading. If you have any suggestions- send them my way!
I will be the first to admit that I absolutely never eat breakfast. In 2014 I am hoping to hit the snooze button less, and eat breakfast more. Even if it is as simple as making a Shakeology in the morning, or a yogurt and granola. I'm hoping that this will help me to start my day in a great way, and to help me snack less throughout the day.
I am seriously so bad at remembering names. Somehow when I am introduced to someone, or their name comes up in a conversation, it magically flies out of my brain a moment after it comes in. I am committing to stop being rude and start remembering what I am told. Let's see how this goes.
Confession: I am an impulse buyer. I am the type of person that the dollar section at Target was made for. Packaging of products sways me more than the product itself. Sometimes I will buy stuff without even knowing what I will use it for. In 2014, I am committing to only buying things that I love, not what is convenient or in my line of sight at the checkout stand. This goes for clothes, home decorations, accessories, makeup, everything. It will only come in my house if I am absolutely in love with it.
Now, for the generic goal- I'm hoping to get in shape this year. Since that is not a specific or measurable goal, and I'm actually trying to succeed, I felt like working out an average of twice a week is a good goal to start with. That means that I MUST work out at least 8 times per month, which is doable.
My final resolution is to keep up with this whole blogging thing. I already talked about how I want to be able to document my life, and I'm hoping that every year I can make a book of all of my blog entries to do just that!
