This month's craft is a Wire Wrapped Bead Necklace!
I was so excited to see this craft, because I have done a jewelry class before, and I learned some of the techniques necessary to do this project. The cool thing is that when I learned the techniques before, I didn't really like the style of the necklace I made, but I love the style of this necklace! I already went out and bought more materials to make even more necklaces like this. This kit included all of the tools necessary to make the necklace.

The following directions are courtesy of Whimseybox:
First, you put the bead on the head pin.
Then, you grab the head pin right above the bead with chain-nose pliers. You can use your finger to bend the wire to a 90 degree angle.
Switch to the round-nose pliers and grip the headpin just after the bend.
With your forefinger, bend the headpin towards you. Keep bending until the wire is facing down.
Release your pliers a bit and pivot them 180 degrees so the bottom tip is now on top of the bend. Then, continue bending the headpin until it is pointing away from you.
Find the midpoint of the chain and thread it onto the headpin and into the loop.
I then made a bunch of the headpins, so that all I had to do was string them on the chain.
The finished product!
Overall, this box has really impressed me. I am so excited to get a new craft to do every month! I can't wait to get my February box!
